Reading Books
Children are encouraged to be responsible for changing their own reading book as often as they need to. Reading books and home-school link books need to be brought in everyday, so that we can monitor progress. Please remember to record every book that you read at home.
Please note that your child will have new targets to achieve in their Homework Diaries and your support in giving them practice on these make a positive impact on their learning outcomes.
P.E
P.E will take place on Monday and Tuesday, it is important that children bring their kit even if the weather looks bad....you never know if it will clear up with our 'Great British Weather'!
Gym Kit: Mondays (shorts and T- shirt, bare-foot please) - Mrs Hanson
Thursday - Mr Jenkins
Friday - Mr Voros
Games Kits: Tuesdays (Track suits and trainers for outdoor use please) All Classes
Forest School
Forest Schools will take place on a Monday or Friday morning, children will need wellies and an outdoor coat, regardless of the weather. It's also a good idea to have a spare pair of old trousers as it can be very muddy at this time of year!
Homework Journals
Homework will be given out on a Friday and needs to be returned each Wednesday.
Spellings
Spelling words will be learnt in class but we will send a list of words home for your child to try with you, please take time to do this as this adds value to their learning as does all your support.
This term our topic is "Food". We are learning about aspects of World War II throughout the year as well. More information and a cloud sheet will appear here in the next week.

This Week's Homework
Task 1 - School Council Elections
Design a poster explaining how you would make the school a better place as a school councillor. Even if you are not going to stand for election we are looking at making posters next half term.
What would you change?
Tell us something you could bring to the council.
Tell us what would be different?
Task 2- Food Diary
Keep a food diary for one day. We will be comparing how people eat now with how people ate in World War II when we come back from holiday.
